On March 23, 2025, Chengdu Dorher Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. held a grand relocation ceremony themed "A New Journey Begins with Original Aspiration" at Building 8, No. 99 Haiwang Road, Wenjiang District, Chengdu. More than a hundred distinguished guests from government, research institutes, industry associations and strategic partners gathered to witness this milestone.
Government–Enterprise Synergy: Drawing the Blueprint for Growth
At 10 a.m., the ceremony opened with a magnificent drum performance titled "A Flourishing Age". Guests including Mr. Li Zhenhua, Director of the Chengdu Medical City Management Committee; Mr. Chang Yongzhi, Head of Strategic Research; Mr. Huang Jinkun, Chairman of Xilingyuan Pharmaceutical; Mr. Cui Dexiu, General Manager of Kelun Group's Qionglai Branch; Mr. Sun Zhiyuan, Vice President of Business at Jincheng Pharmaceutical Group; and Ms. Zhu Ni, President of Bank of China Shuanglin Sub-branch, attended the event to witness the rise of a new force in the regional biopharmaceutical industry. Leaders of the Management Committee noted that Dorher, as a high-tech enterprise prioritized by Chengdu Medical City, has built a full-industry-chain presence that aligns closely with Wenjiang District's strategy of integrating medicine, medical care and the medical industry, and expressed confidence that the new R&D center will inject stronger momentum into regional industrial upgrading.
Technology Breakthroughs: Leading Innovation in Intermediates
In his address, General Manager Mr. Wei Genghui reviewed the eight-year entrepreneurial journey: from a start-up team to an innovative enterprise with more than 60 professionals, Dorher has built a closed-loop industrial chain covering lab-scale, pilot-scale and commercial production, filed over 20 invention patent applications, and been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Sichuan "Specialized, Refined, Differentiated and Innovative" SME. During the three years of the pandemic, the company achieved counter-trend growth and established in-depth cooperation with industry leaders such as Gilead and Kelun Pharmaceutical, demonstrating the resilience of a Chinese pharmaceutical enterprise. "The new R&D center is equipped with an intelligent laboratory management system, and we have reached strategic cooperation with top teams including the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University. Going forward, we will focus on the development of highly challenging drug molecule fragments, and explore the blue-ocean market of innovative drugs with a long-term mindset."
Standing Together: Building an Industry Milestone
Mr. Gong Hailing, General Manager of Beijing Xinda Hezhong International Trade Co., Ltd., spoke warmly of eight years of cooperation: "Dorher and we are like Nezha and Ao Bing, bound as twins. During the most difficult period of the pandemic, our two teams talked through the night about the supply plan for a COVID-19 drug intermediate and completed the technical breakthrough within two months, successfully delivering the project — a model case of emergency supply assurance for the industry." Representatives of the Wuhan University Alumni Association, Mr. Zhu Xu and Mr. Wan Jinqiao, commented from the perspective of industry–academia–research collaboration, speaking highly of Dorher's achievements in mastering the semaglutide excipient process and building the "Chengdu R&D – Deyang pilot plant – Qujing production" tri-location system. They praised Dorher's innovative spirit of "never a follower, only a problem solver," and noted that the new R&D center will inject threefold momentum — technological innovation, project breakthroughs and regional synergy — into the company, driving the development of Chengdu's biopharmaceutical industry.
Cultural Heritage: Empowering Technological Take-off
The lion dance that followed drew enthusiastic applause. In the traditional eye-dotting ceremony, Dorher's two founders — Dr. Ning Zhaolun, Vice President of Technology, and Ms. Huang Xiangchuan, Vice President of Quality — dotted the eyes of the auspicious lions, plucked the greens and received the blessings, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune for Dorher at its new home. Amid the lively atmosphere, leaders and guests then came on stage for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official start of a brand-new chapter. Subsequently, Mr. Wei Genghui, Dr. Ning Zhaolun, Ms. Huang Xiangchuan and R&D Director Mr. Li Jianguo jointly unveiled the red silk at the company's indoor reception desk, revealing the brand-new corporate logo.
At the close of the ceremony, General Manager Mr. Wei Genghui personally led the guests on a tour of the new office building and R&D center, presenting the company's latest progress and future plans. The modern office environment and advanced scientific equipment left a deep impression on all visitors.
